Kevin PollackIt's tough to say for what role Kevin Pollak is best known. He played an attorney, alongside Tom Cruise and Demi Moore, trying to bring down Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men. He was the lovable son of Jack Lemmon in the two Grumpy Old Men films. And he was the sociopath Todd Hockney in The Usual Suspects - although, Kevin Pollak points out, he was "a lovable sociopath."

2001 marked Kevin Pollak's return to the stage as he headlined a sold out 20 city stand-up tour. Prior to his film career, Pollak had been performing stand-up comedy since the age of ten. Kevin Pollak became a touring professional stand-up at age twenty, and then in 1998 landed a role in George Lucas; Willow , directed by Ron Howard. In 1990, he co-starred in Barry Levinson's Avalon , for which he received an overwhelming response from the film community. It was Pollak's role in the 1992 film A Few Good Men , directed by Rob Reiner and starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore, that garnered him fellowship among a select group of highly respected character actors.

After co-starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in the box-office success Grumpy Old Men and its sequel, Grumpier Old Men , Kevin Pollak received an award from the National Board of Review for his work in The Usual Suspects . The film also won two Academy Awards and became an international sensation. Other highlights include working with Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci in Martin Scorsese's Casino .

In 1997, Kevin Pollak starred in The Underworld , a crime telepic for Warner Bros. And NBC, which he co-created and co-executive produced with Chris McQuarrie (Academy Award- winning screenwriter of The Usual Suspects) and his producing partner, Lucy Webb. He also starred in two of his own HBO stand-up comedy specials, the latest being Kevin Pollak : Stop With The Kicking , directed by David Steinberg.

In 1999, Kevin Pollak starred opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gabriel Byrne in Universal Pictures' End of Days , directed by Peter Hyams . Pollak followed this performance with a starring role in the Paramount Classics political thriller Deterrence , written and directed by Rod Lurie (The Contender). The film received critical acclaim at the 1999 Toronto Film Festival.

Recently Kevin Pollak has been seen in The Wedding Planner , which starred Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey and the hit comedy Dr. Doolottle 2 with Eddie Murphy, as well as Warner Bros. Releases The Whole Nine Yards , directed by Johnathan Lynn, opposite Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry; and 3000 Miles to Graceland starring Kevin Costner , Kurt Russel and Courtney Cox Arquette .

Due to the overwhelming response, Kevin Pollak has extended his stand-up comedy tour into 2002. Look for Pollak next year in Disney's Frank McKlusky C.I . and in Miramax's Stolen Summer alongside Aidan Quinn.
